Sometimes life is just daily

Plenty sweet

Hard to say why I'm so taken by these Italian hard candies. They're not souvenirs or even a taste memory from a recent trip there.

Maybe it's because they are slightly creamy and frizzante from the inclusion of baking soda. They don't explode in your mouth in some unnatural and worrisome way--they just tingle on your tongue, ever-so-noticeably, until they disappear.

Or maybe it's because they don't gush something unsettling from their centers. Or because they aren't the size of an eyeball. Or the flavor of blue razzberries, wherever those are grown.

Your choices are all in the citrus family: lemon, lime, orange, or grapefruit.

Which would you choose?
