Mundane Morsel

Sometimes life is just daily

June 19, 2014

Cubby companion

by Megan Stocker in Between Meals, Mindless Morsel

Sometimes it's the friend that you've had for nearly 25 years (and not seen for 15) that knows that you could use a teddy bear right about now.

And then sends two so as not to induce coveting, or worse, dismembering.

Peter has been my cuddle partner for about three weeks now and, save one unraveling eyebrow, is adjusting well.

There have been no monsters or boogie men or clowns or even palmetto bugs since his arrival, so how he handles a crisis remains to be seen.

But something tells me that he--and Big Bear Beatrice who lives just one room over--have got my back.
